Offas Dyke In a November Storm

Here are pictures of a great weekend for Charles Forsyth and myself. We had Friday to Sunday. We stayed at a delightful B&B near Monmouth. This was a glorious old Cider farm that had been converted by Treona and her husband over 15 years.

We were made very welcome ... when we arrived in a heavy storm late at night with the rain lashing and the winds blowing it felt like a scene from Wuthering Heights , but the welcome was warm and in th morning we woke up VERY briefly to bright sun. It was glorious.

We then set off and took a taxi from Monmouth to Chepstow .. and walked the 18 miles back. Great fun ... the last 2-3 hours being in pitch black.

We also had a lovely short Offas Dyke walk to the White Castle on the Sunday.
