Alistair Scott Smith excelled himself this year giving us a walk up Scafell from the west ....meaning we arrived later than ever on the Thursday night, thus meaning we needed more rapid fdrinking to get us to the correct mental state. Wills would not talk to me until I had promised not to buy a wooden boat. Fewstered that night , Wills and I went up to Serengetti's large emporium in wiltshire and then headed off to the Lakes in a car that had to be jump started ... very like the old days.
Anyhow a wonderful weekends walking and a lovely soft walk to the sea on the saturday ... and a very good pub at the railway station at Ravenglass. The Boot very good but not quite up to standard but we had a great meal on th Saturday in the pub with its own brewery just up the valley.

Looking forward to next year V much. Hope Crosier can come!!
